Adopted by two lawyers, Sean E. Rees followed in his parents’ footsteps and became an attorney. Sean ensures that clients understand their rights in their cases. Sean understands that clients need someone to lean on during difficult times and makes sure clients are kept up to date with their cases. Sean received his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2015. Sean graduated law school Cum Laude and received the Leadership Achievement Award for his leadership roles in school organizations. Prior to law school, Sean attended the University of Illinois and Illinois State University. Prior to becoming an attorney, Sean frequently worked at his family’s firm. Sean gained experience in criminal law as a student-lawyer with his law school’s criminal defense clinic through the Kent County Office of the Defender. As a student-lawyer Sean assisted clients with drug charges, violent crimes, and participated in jury trials. Sean now serves as an associate in the Carlinville, Illinois office of Brandenburg-Rees & Rees and also handles matters in Cook County through the firm’s Chicago office. Sean is based out of the firm’s Carlinville office but is available to handle your case throughout Illinois.

Sean enjoys fantasy football, bowling in league nights, and watching his favorite shows, such as The Walking Dead, Agents of Shield, and Flash. Sean can be found walking with fiance Ashley, and their dog, Yadier, or grabbing a bite to eat at his favorite local restaurants.
